Saw this on Pinterest the other day and appeared to be a fairly easy thing to accomplish, so why not give it a try. Well the execution was not as pretty as the photo from Pinterest, but the taste was there. Maybe more practice will make this better. I’m thinking next time to lay down a little pancake batter first, then put the bacon on and top with more pancake batter.

This morning we started the day in Old Quebec City at the Cafe-boulangerie Paillard. We wanted something different. Something more Quebecois and we found it at this quaint little cafe. The early morning rain produced some hardship for the old building as there were several buckets set around the cafe catching water leaking from the roof. This didn’t stop us from joining the line-up at the counter to order our food.

After our drive back to Montreal, we stopped at Deville Dinerbar for lunch. Taylor did some research and really liked the menu and it was well reviewed on tripadvisor.com, so we figured we’d give it a try.
We started with the Kopanisti Dip and Chips. The dip is a Mediterranean red pepper cheese dip that came with truffle parmesan chips. These were very tasty, and the potato chips were warm, so you know they were fresh made.

Prior to our trip to Quebec, we looked at a few places we must eat when we got to Quebec City or Montreal. One of the locations we had to visit while in Old Quebec City was a place called La Pizzaio. Highly rated on Tripadvisor.com, so it was on our radar while we were walking around.
