I got my love of cooking from my mom who could fill the house with the most amazing smells. Growing up, we always had plenty to eat and enjoyed every fork full. I didn’t really take a liking to cooking until I started watching Food Network. Looking at the meals these chefs were making inspired me to start cooking more. Luckily my family enjoys my cooking and I’ve been able to expand the styles and types of food I make.
I happened to take a BBQ day course a few years back and that expanded my love or cooking even more. There is nothing like the smell of meat smoking slowly over coals and flavoured wood.
After working with a smoker, I took the next step and starting cooking over open flame on a firepit on our property in BC.
